Since 1999 I distribute my software Flamenco Metronome . To be up-to-date for all platforms (OSX, Win, iOS), a lot of programming time is needed. I don't feel like doing that anymore - especially since there are enough cheap or free apps and web-oriented applications available now. But since all these apps neglect the visual aspect of the Flamenco Clock, which is important to me, I now came up with the idea of videos. For all ternary and binary modes there are five videos with 50, 72, 120, 163 and 200 bpm (beats per minute). Of course, videos can be played faster or slower with third party players, but with +/- 25 - 30% decrease or increase of the tempo, the natural beat tone is unpleasantly alienated. I have deliberately omitted an annoying beep sound or click. So to play a Soleá por Bulerías at 96bpm tempo, I take the 12 start at 12 clip and turn the tempo down to 80% in my player. The VCL media player , or Elmedia's video player allow this adjustment, as well as other features we loop, EQ, etc. And the best is - compatibility with all devices and operating systems. Mp4 videos will play anywhere.
